My role over the past 6+ years, in the Game and Animation Industry, has been in Production for Cinematics/ Commercials-Promos/ Presentations. Collaborating and working in multi-disciplinary teams, such as Animation, 3D Previs, Modeling, Texturing – UVing, Lightning, Effects (Particles & Dynamics) and Art Design Departments. General Technical and non Technical experience that has allowed me to contribute as Team member and Lead in Animation and Art Departments; and experience that keeps helping to expand my knowledge to become a better Artist, Story and Content Creator; with my latest contribution to the Fortnite Game Franchise with In-Game Animation and Marketing renders.
On the Art – non Technical side, supported and mentored team members to improve our Animation, Acting and Software skills to help improve the overall delivery process. And on the Technical side, been able to develop a production workflow, to help facilitate the pipeline between the Cinematics‘ and Game departments allowing the integration of Game assets and Animation performances into the Cinematic pipeline; including the development of some optimization techniques like light, shader, texture baking, UV stacking and skeleton/rig, joint economy and animation keyframe reduction, contributing to the reduction of post-render and real-time FPS times.
In conjunction, these workflows have allowed the delivery of different iterations of Animation performances, Shot compositions and Modeled Characters and Environments; helping to ship on time Game and Animation Projects and their Marketing Campaigns, with titles such as: Trans Galactic Tournament ( for PlayStation ), Might & Mayhem, Snooker 19 (for Nintendo Switch), Little-Bigfoot, Critter Escape and Dash Galactic (App Stores) among others. And lastly, contributing to the Fortnite Game Franchise (2022).
And, in the search to finding ways to merge Art and Technology to promote education or self-awareness and inclusion in society; supporting a Non Profit Org (Conservation of the Jaguar in Mexico); by designing/building a free prototype for a AR/VR 360 Game, to promote the conservation of species in extinction.
